King County's Maury Island Marine Park

This spectacular park on Maury Island combines a forest walk descending to the beach where Mount Rainier welcomes you. We have partnered with King County Parks to offer 7 primitive campsites, extending your stay after dark, so you can listen to the waves from your tent and wake up to the majestic mountain across the water.

This is a pack in and pack out facility and fire is prohibited. The amenities at this site include use of the picnic shelter, 2 porta-potty bathrooms, picnic tables near the campsites and a kayak/paddleboard storage rack off of the beach trail. There is no water available so please pack in enough water for your stay. To protect the park, please abide by the camping rules.

alcohol and fire are strictly prohibited.

A little more on the NO FIRE rule in the parks. Our campsites are located in parks with limited access, increasing the complexity for our fire fighters. Add to this the dry hot weather- the outcome would be devastating. The risk isn’t worth it!
